Camel Caravan of tourists riding at pre-dawn towards pyramids of Egypt

Day 1 – Arrival in Giza:

  • Check-in at your hotel close to the pyramids of Giza.

  • Request a pyramid-view room, (because the view will matter more than the price, when you get there.)

  • Dinner in the main restaurant.

Day 2 – The Pre-Dawn Camel Ride to the Pyramids Itinerary:

  • 3:30 a.m. – Wake-up call. Dress in layers for the desert chill.

  • 4:00 a.m. – Meet your guide and driver in the lobby. Enjoy a quiet, serene drive to Nazlet El-Samman village at the base of the Giza Plateau.

  • 4:30 a.m. – Mount your camel. Ride into the desert as the village fades behind you.

  • 5:15 a.m. – Arrive at a ridge overlooking the pyramids. Settle on carpets as your guides light a small fire and prepare tea.

  • 5:45 a.m. – Witness the sun rising over the desert, casting its first light on the pyramids. Reflect in the quiet, savoring the transformation.

  • 6:30 a.m. – Begin the return journey to the village as the daylight softens the mystique.

  • 7:00 a.m. – Return to Le Méridien. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant.

Midday: – Rest, swim, or enjoy a spa treatment at the hotel.

Afternoon: – Optional tour of the Great Pyramid and Sphinx.

Evening: - Reflect on the experience over dinner. Watch the pyramids glow one last time under the lights, appreciating that fleeting, mystical encounter with the desert at dawn.

Day 3 – Hotel Check-out

  • 8:00 a.m. – Buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant

  • 10:00 a.m. – Hotel check-out, continue with your onward journey.
